Buyer - Walls and Home Accessories


Lulu and Georgia is seeking a buyer to join our team. The Buyer is responsible for creating an exciting and timely product assortmentthat meets or exceeds the sales volume and profits for the Walls and Home Accessories category.  The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter with experience in the home decor buying world. This candidate will enjoy a startup mentality and environment that changes day to day. He or she should possess a passion for home decor as well as a strong grasp of merchandising financials. The Buyer will work to create the appropriate merchandise mix based on emerging market trends, along with meeting the assortment strategies established by management.

Responsibilities 

  • Execute a merchandise assortment plan with Planning that supports the financial and merchandising objectives.
  • Participate in weekly open-to-buy meetings  to ensure the department achieves financial targets for turn and sell-through goals
  • Negotiate buying terms with suppliers (selection, price, quantity, and delivery terms) and develop pipeline of sales events
  • Coordinate with cross-functional partners such as Production and Designers in order to make sure designs are adoptable, costs are measured, and concepts are clearly defined
  • Support Planning in all operational aspects of assigned product lines, delivery schedules, performance measurement, and inventory management.
  • Analyze sales reporting on a weekly basis, proactively reacting to optimize sales and minimize risks
  • Use reporting to develop an in depth understanding of product performance and customer base, develop action plans by category.
  • Prepare detailed weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales analyses based on history, current trends and market forecasts.
  • Onboard new brands and develop strong relationships that support the business goals; maintain brand relationships through regular communication .
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure all products adhere to company values and maintain the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to showcase new products in shoots and online.
  • Perform market analysisand maintain industry expertise, competitive shop and analyze trends.
  • Search for new and exciting products and reach out to designers and manufacturers to establish partnerships.
  • Place and follow-up on orders with various manufacturers on product delivery, placement and shipping status.
  • Attend trade shows and build/maintain vendor relationships.
  • Analyze historical data and current trends to identify opportunities and risks.
Qualifications 
  • Passion for home décor products.
  • 5+ years buying experience and minimum 2+ years experience in the home category
  • Understanding of brand, aesthetic, and assortment building
  • Solid grasp of retail math and inventory planning concepts.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable and confident in making decisions in a timely manner
  • Flexibility and willingness to pivot quickly when required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Articulate, persuasive communicator with strong negotiating skills.
  • Willing and available to travel.

Digital Marketing Manager

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will work in lock-step with the VP, Marketing to be a growth-focused marketing MVP. The right candidate will have experience in data-driven performance marketing across all paid channels, and an analytics background is desired. This role will have an emphasis on acquisition marketing spanning media, marketing and ecomm and will focus on the purchase funnel strategies to the point of conversion.

In the role, you will be providing support to the VP, Marketing in implementing new revenue streams, managing current channels and campaigns, and providing performance reporting and proposing optimizations across all digital channels. This role will also work closely with its Marketing and Creative counterparts to ensure marketing strategies are executed timely, as planned and in cohesion across all channels and our website. 

The right candidate will be a self-starter, motivated to drive results and confident in their performance marketing skills. This role will have one direct report to manage.

This is not an entry-level role.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily business operations as they relate to digital marketing channels including paid social, paid search, organic search, retargeting, affiliate, marketplace partners and more.
  • Track performance metrics for all digital marketing channels. Utilize these key insights to guide business strategies and decisions and provide optimization recommendations.
  • Onboard new channels/partners by project managing launch timelines, keeping product team on track and managing vendor relationships. Once launched, this role will manage all new onboarded services/partners to meet projected KPIs for that partnership
  • Coordinate the design, development, and content creation for all digital marketing channels.
  • Communicate and document project status and strategic recommendations to team members on a regular basis; escalate issues accordingly via the appropriate channels.
  • Manage schedules, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project deliverable dates are clearly communicated, understood and executed upon with both external and internal partners.
  • Facilitate AB Testing, segmentation, and audience building
  • Own and maintain marketing calendars as it relates to digital marketing campaigns ensuring that all team members are up to date on the latest changes.
  • Manage Marketing Coordinator for assistance in executing campaigns, etc. 
Skills
  • Experience in eCommerce analytics tools, Google Analytics proficiency required.
  • Analytical and creative thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills. Able to identify trends and propose optimizations.
  • Strong attention to detail and solid organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of online marketing platforms including; Facebook Ads Manager, affiliate platforms (Pepperjam), Google AdWords, Google Merchant Center, and more.
  • Works well with deadlines, under pressure and handles interruptions well, can effectively multi-task.
  • Proficient in all Office programs.

Requirements

  • A 4-year degree in Marketing, Communications or the equivalent from an accredited university
  • 5 years of experience in an online marketing-related role working across digital marketing channels with continued success in growing performance metrics and revenues
  • Proven track record of company growth in previous roles
  • Strong analytical background, comfortable identifying trends and optimizations
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude who is passionate about growth marketing and achieving success

Customer Experience Associate

Lulu and Georgia is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working CX Associate to join our growing team! You will work in a fun and fast-paced environment where multitasking and problem solving are key. This position requires high level communication via email, phone and our chat platforms. In this role, you’ll work closely with our customers and vendors as part of a small, cross-functional team. This is a great role for someone who is interested in interior design, e-commerce, start-ups, and sales.

Responsibilities

      • Respond to customer emails, engage in live chats, and answer phone calls regarding product and order inquiries.
      • Assist with customer orders, shipping, and processing returns
      • Be a brand expert and knowledgeable about all products.
      • Be a solutions-minded advocate for complicated situations
      • Communicate with our warehouses and shipping partners to resolve outstanding issues
      • Analyze customer feedback and coordinate with management to continuously improve the shopping experience

Requirements

Lulu and Georgia is looking for an experienced in-house graphic designer to join our growing team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate would have experience working in ecommerce, excellent alignment with the Lulu and Georgia brand, and thrive in a startup environment.

 

Responsibilities

      • Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize across teams for a wide range of materials including site assets, promotional assets, daily marketing emails, social media assets, and internal company assets
      • Develop concepts and execute original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout that fall within the brand guidelines
      • Manage and maintain the organization of all projects and assets using project management tools like Asana and Dropbox
      • Stay current on graphic trends in the ecommerce space

Requirements

      • Extremely proficient in Adobe Photoshop
      • Knowledge of Google Suite
      • 3+ years experience in a graphic design role
      • Strong portfolio of work
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Must be a self-starter and team player
      • Excellent time-management skills
      • Must be able to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
      • Knowledge of animation or illustration is a major plus
