Senior Merchandise Planner


We are looking for a Senior Merchandise Planner to join our growing team in Los Angeles! You’ll be responsible for developing merchandise plans that support the company’s financial goals. You will own the sales and inventory forecasting across all categories. You will work closely with the buying team in an effort to increase revenue and margin, and improve inventory productivity.


  • Ensure the financial success by meeting or exceeding sales, gross margin, and inventory turn goals.
  • Analyze historical and current selling trends and develop sales targets that support financial objectives.
  • Manage sales, gross margin and gross margin return on investment.
  • Manage all sku’s -  from initial plan to final sell-down. Determine quantity to purchase for new and continuing SKUs. Provide initial and future order quantities for P.O. generation.
  • Create category plans that support high level financial goals.
  • Design inventory strategies that balance the composition of new, replenishment and evergreen merchandise and support in-stock and turn objectives.
  • Compile weekly sales, markdown and inventory data and provide analysis that supports risks or opportunities to current forecasts.
  • Manage and maintain department financial forecast. (OTB/rolling forecast).
  • Recommend test strategies based on current category performance and initiate analysis.
  • Identify potential inventory liabilities and take appropriate actions to bring quantity to a desired level.
  • Create sustainable and scalable planning tools, processes, and reporting. Develop ad hoc reports as needed to drive or react to current and future business.
  • Ensure marketing strategies are supported with appropriate inventory.
  • Support a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented environment with peers
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong retail background
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills including comprehensive understanding of retail math concepts and formulation of business plans.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation.
  • Have 5+ years of Merchandise Planning or Inventory Management experience, preferably in e-commerce.

  • Have an excellent understanding of the Lulu and Georgia brand vision and execute photoshoots to deliver brand message, inspire customers, and drive sales.
  • Coordinate with photographers, warehouse staff, vendors, and moving team to ensure flawless execution.
  • Prep for photoshoots with necessary props and supplies.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors, industry professionals, and talent.
  • Be strategic and thoughtful on set to maximize content potential.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends to constantly be improving photoshoots and styling.

Freelance Textile Designer, Los Angeles

Lulu and Georgia is looking for a part-time freelance textile designer. This position would be both remote and in-person at our West Hollywood offices. The ideal candidate would have an eye for aesthetics and be able to deliver assets quickly.  .


  • Execute patterns and print decided on by design team.
  • Work on revisions based on submits from design team after sampling.
  • Scan, clean up, re-color, create layers and repeats for rugs, wallcovering, upholstery, drapery or fabrics.
  • Based off direction, put together a package of print and pattern ideas to be reviewed by product development members.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Three to five years’ experience and Associates degree from college or university.
  • Candidate must have experience with CAD, Mac OSX, MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite 2 or higher and strong skills in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Hand illustration techniques and power point experience a plus.
  • Understanding in various rug constructions and their scale, and specification requirements
  • Articulate verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
  • Strong communication skills, timely follow through of key initiatives, time management, project management, and fiscal responsibility.
  • Be on top of projects and know the status of timing and key milestones and be responsible for ensuring that clients and team members are kept up to date on project status.
  • Manage process flow and project timelines to deliver product in a timely manner.
