Hi there! Kelley here, I would describe our latest editorial as relaxing, lush, engaging, inviting. Spring is in the air and it's time to start thinking about outdoor decor. As a stylist, I'm always on the lookout for pieces that can elevate a space and bring it to life. I’m taking a closer look at some of my favorite pieces from our outdoor collection and offering tips on how to incorporate them into your space.

Define the Space

Decide what type of outdoor entertaining space you want to create.

Is it a cozy seating area, a dining area, or a combination of both? Once you have a clear idea of the function of the space, you can start styling it accordingly.

We aimed to fully embrace the concept of creating an outdoor space that provides a getaway from your daily routine, offering the feeling of being on a vacation. Our vision was to have various seating areas not only around the pool but also throughout the entire outdoor space. The charm of nature is that it requires minimal embellishment, as it already provides everything necessary for a serene atmosphere.

During the shoot, I took a break to lounge by the pool, and I could have easily spent the entire day in the Anson Chaise Lounge. The chaise is incredibly comfortable, and the teak has a beautiful color. The caning detail is also a nice touch that makes it feel unique and special. Overall, it's the perfect addition to any poolside area.

Create a Focal Point

A focal point can draw the eye and add interest to your outdoor space. Perhaps it’s a fire pit, a water feature, or simply a nice view. Once you have chosen your focal point, arrange furniture and accessories around it to create a cohesive design.

For our outdoor dining shot, we wanted to showcase the stunning patterned tiles beneath grand plaster arches and a cozy wooden overhang adorned with delicate bougainvillea branches. It truly felt like we were in a villa in Puglia in the heart of Los Angeles. Vintage cutting boards, linen napkins, and seasonal fruit can create an intimate al fresco dining atmosphere.

Keep it Cohesive

The only time we approve of the use of matching sets is while creating outdoor spaces. Once you fall in love with an outdoor sofa- find its accent chair. By choosing a matching set you can create a cohesive and polished look.

Our outdoor furniture sets are designed to complement each other, with matching materials, colors, and styles, creating a visually appealing and comfortable setting. For example, the grounded teak woods from our Ryann Collection used in the sofa and chair beautifully complement the cement industrial edge of our Dominic Collection, which is highlighted in the side table. To further enhance the elegance and sophistication of the layout, we have paired these collections with the minimalistic Anson Collection for the coffee table.

Seamless Conclusion

Now that you've established your outdoor space, it's time to add your personal touch to make it truly yours. These small details can have a big impact and infuse your outdoor area with life and personality.

To bring this vision to life, we chose to integrate a classic fusion of rustic and sophisticated elements such as vibrant colored glass and sleek teak wood, which complemented the overall aesthetic seamlessly. Our approach was to keep things simply refined while styling the final details of our outdoor space, including only functional items that we truly need in the area.
