Made-to-order custom furniture is the solution when the right piece in the right size in the right fabric does not exist as a standard offering — when a room needs a sofa that is 98 inches rather than 90, or a sectional in a specific performance fabric, or a chair in a color outside the standard assortment. At Lulu and Georgia, the made-to-order program brings together sofas, sectionals, chairs, and select case goods available in custom dimensions, fabric selections, and configurations — each built to specification with the lead time that custom production requires.
What custom furniture does Lulu and Georgia offer?
The made-to-order program includes custom sofas and loveseats in width and depth configurations beyond standard dimensions, custom sectionals in left-facing, right-facing, U-shape, and L-shape configurations, accent chairs in custom fabric selections, and select ottomans and benches in custom dimensions and upholstery. Fabric options for each style are shown on the product page; most styles are available in performance, linen, velvet, and bouclé fabric families. Lead times are 8–16 weeks depending on style and configuration.
How long does made-to-order custom furniture take?
Custom furniture lead times at Lulu and Georgia are typically 8–16 weeks from order confirmation. Lead time is confirmed at checkout and noted on each product page. Custom pieces cannot be cancelled or returned after production begins, so confirm dimensions and fabric selection carefully before ordering. A fabric swatch program is available for most upholstery options to confirm color and texture before committing.
Can I order a custom sofa in a performance fabric?
Yes — most sofas and sectionals in the made-to-order program are available in performance fabric options including stain-resistant, pet-friendly, and washable fabric families. Performance fabrics in the custom program are designed to read like standard upholstery fabrics at normal viewing distance. Confirm performance fabric availability for a specific style on the product page, as not all styles are available in all fabric categories.
