Mirrors

A mirror is one of the most versatile objects in a room — it reflects light, adds perceived depth, and functions simultaneously as a practical tool and a decorative statement. At Lulu and Georgia, the mirror collection spans arched wall mirrors, round and oval shapes, rectangular styles, full-length floor mirrors, mantel mirrors, and bathroom vanity mirrors in a range of materials: carved and natural wood, powder-coated metal, rattan, gilded and antiqued finishes. Each chosen for the way it commands its wall without overwhelming the room around it.

What mirror styles does Lulu and Georgia carry?

The collection covers round and oval mirrors, rectangle and square mirrors, arched and arch-top mirrors, full-length and floor-standing mirrors, leaning mirrors, mantel mirrors, and bathroom-specific styles. Materials include natural and carved wood, rattan and cane, iron and powder-coated metal, resin, and gilded finishes. Many styles are available in multiple sizes. Bathroom-safe mirrors are noted on product pages for humidity-appropriate use.

How do I choose the right mirror size for my wall?

Above a dresser, console, or fireplace mantel, a mirror should be approximately two-thirds the width of the furniture below it. For entryways, a mirror that reaches 6–7 feet from the floor reads as a strong visual anchor. Full-length mirrors should allow a full-body view — typically at least 60 inches tall. Leave 6–12 inches of wall above a piece of furniture before the mirror begins for proper visual spacing.

Can I use a large mirror to make a room feel bigger?

Yes — a large mirror placed opposite a window reflects natural light and creates the visual impression of an additional opening in the room, significantly affecting how spacious and bright a space feels. Floor mirrors in particular, leaned at a slight angle, can make ceilings appear taller. For maximum effect, position the mirror to reflect the room's best feature — a window, a piece of art, or a well-lit corner.
