The Square Pillows collection at Lulu and Georgia gathers the store's full range of square-format accent pillows—the most versatile and widely used pillow shape for sofas, beds, and chairs. The collection spans velvet, linen, jacquard, embroidered, silk, and outdoor-rated square pillows in 18x18, 20x20, and 22x22 inch formats across every style, pattern, and price point in the Lulu and Georgia assortment.
What square pillows does Lulu and Georgia carry?
Lulu and Georgia's Square Pillows collection spans velvet square pillows (Royce Velvet, Mauree Velvet, Dewey Velvet from $62), linen square pillows (Lanie Linen by Sarah Sherman Samuel from $88, Agnes Linen from $84), jacquard square pillows (Tiger Jacquard by Sarah Sherman Samuel from $74), embroidered square pillows (Accord by Élan Byrd from $58.80), and print-based square pillows (Abigail by Archive NY from $144). All are available in the standard 18x18 and 20x20 inch square formats.
What square pillow size is right for my sofa?
For a standard three-cushion sofa, 20x20 or 22x22-inch square pillows are the most proportionate choice. Smaller sofas and loveseats work with 18x18. For a large sectional or wide sofa, mix 22x22 and 20x20 to create visual variation in the arrangement. Use an odd number of pillows total—two 22x22 on the outside, one smaller square or bolster in the center—and vary fabric and pattern within a cohesive palette.
How do I care for square accent pillows?
Care instructions vary by fabric. Most velvet and linen pillows have removable, zip-off covers that can be machine-washed on a cold, gentle cycle and air-dried; insert them back into the cover while slightly damp to maintain shape. Silk and embroidered pillows typically require spot cleaning or dry cleaning to preserve the fabric and thread detail. Jacquard and woven square pillows are usually safe for gentle machine wash with the cover removed. Check each pillow's care label for specific instructions.
