St. Louis-based brand Expedition Subsahara makes "happy baskets and accessories for colorful people." Founder and fiber artist Sofi Seck is obsessed with her Senegalese culture and the craftsmanship of her compatriots, and she wants to show that to the world. The baskets and functional accessories she designs and a team of women artisans in Senegal weave are made from natural materials using a traditional coil-style technique and feature dynamic color and pattern.
