Morris & Co. Apple Wallpaper
Scrolling acanthus leaves and freckled apples are the prominent focal points of this refreshing wall art. Designed in the late 19th century by Arts & Crafts textile designer William Morris, this wallpaper was used to decorate his daughter's workroom in her Hammersmith home located in London, England. The "Acanthus" motif holds particular value as it was the first pattern released by Morris & Co. in 1884. It holds the title for the designers most recognizable pattern due to its intricate layering of entangled foliage and its three dimensional character.

Morris & Co.
William Morris famously said, “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” As a political theorist, publisher, environmental campaigner, poet, as well as an outstanding designer, Morris (1834–1896) was one of the single most influential figures of the nineteenth century. Under his direction Morris & Co. grew to the status of Arts & Crafts icon that it remains to this day.
